CURRENT WORK:
This chapter, which was formed in 2003,
has formed two working groups that are exploring local issues: the fair treatment group and the meth group.
The fair treatment group is working to have more minority teachers hired for the Warren County School System.
Members of the Warren County Chapter were very active in the push to convince lawmakers in Nashville of the necessity for a law to restrict the sale of ingredients
used to produce meth.
The meth group is working to address the Methamphetamine problem by educating the public and working to bring rehabilitation facilities to the county.
The chapter held a public forum in September 2005 to educate members and the public on the use and abuse of methamphetamines and what their county is doing about it.
Current methods of treatment were discussed.
Chapter members will continue to work on this problem so that in the future it may be resolved. A main concern is for the many children who are currently being taken out of toxic "meth" homes and placed in foster care.
