Knoxville housing crisis: Raising awareness for record-high eviction rates, how they affect students, community

Since 2020, Knoxville and the University of Tennessee student renters have experienced a 56% increase in rental prices while median incomes have only increased by 3.4%, according to a 2024 City of Knoxville Housing Office report.
